Promoting science and technology in the interest of humanity. |

We are a group of young professionals committed to the philosophy of Pugwash Conference on Science and World Affairs which was first spelled out in the famous Russell-Einstein 1955 manifesto. The manifesto urged scientists to “think in a new way” about their moral responsibilities in the nuclear age. The first Pugwash Conference was held in Pugwash, Nova Scotia, bringing together some of the greatest scientific minds to address nuclear weapons issues and the social responsibility of scientists. The 1955 Pugwash Conference was the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1995. |
